A Message From Crystal "Lucky" Boceta

It's my second time doing UniCamp -- I couldn't stay away! This year, I am a Camp Counselor for the youngest group of girls. This session focuses on proper fitness, eating habits, and body image to address childhood obesity and associated preventable diseases. The program will provide campers with challenging new experiences in order to foster personal growth and development of skills necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle. UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
