A Message From Mariel (Flamingo-o-o-o-o) Neri
Hey everybody! This summer, I've partnered up with UCLA's longest running charity, Unicamp. For 83 years and counting, Unicamp holds week-long camping sessions in the summer dedicated to giving children from ages 5 to 17 in under-served communities an opportunity to familiarize themselves in nature, make friends, and have fun!
I'm going to be helping with the ‘Academicamp' session in particular, which focuses on Social Emotional Learning. Important facets include recognizing and assessing emotions, building healthy relationships, and decision making.
This charity means so much to me because I truly believe that giving children well-rounded experiences shape them for better, especially when they are out of their comfort zones and feel supported by their peers. Empowering youth about their education and giving them hope is a powerful thing that I hope others advocated for more often!
The cost of one camper going to camp is approximately up to $500, but with subsidizing, campers and their parents pay only $75! Without generous donors, our program cannot run, so please aid me in this life-changing camp tradition with $1, $5, $10, or whatever you desire to give. 100% of your money will go to Unicamp! The donations are tax-deductible by the way.
Much Woodsey Love,
Flamingo(oooo)

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community.
