A Message From Thao Nguyen
For those of you who don't know, UniCamp is a non-profit organization that works to send children from low-income families to an outdoor summer camp. At the camp, we inspire and show these young children that they can absolutely work beyond their full potential. Just because they come from lower socioeconomic backgrounds does not mean they don't deserve the opportunity to learn and be better.
UniCamp has always been something I've been interested in because I love what the camp works for. I love the idea of inspiring young students and showing them that they can work beyond their capabilities and be so much more than they think they are. I'm so excited to be a part of UniCamp because I get to be a part of something so much bigger than myself, alongside all the volunteers with the same goal and passion to help these young students from underserved communities. This is my first year as a volunteer, and I cannot wait to see the impact that UniCamp will have on both myself and all the people participating in it - both volunteers and campers.

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
