A Message From Lauren Lopez
Hi All!
Let me tell you about a great cause going on at UCLA! This summer I was offered the opportunity to participate in Unicamp, UCLA's official charity, as a camp counselor, but I need your help fundraising!
What is Unicamp?
Unicamp is UCLA's official student charity which sends children from low-income families up to Big Bear for summer camp! The kids spend a week at camp, where we playing games, do different activities, motivate and teach them about a particular topic. My session (June 27-July 1) is on college readiness, where we teach them about college, what it's like and how to deal with any anxiety about college.
What makes Unicamp possible is each year Unicamp helps lower the cost of camp for these children through fundraising. As a counselor, I have a goal to raise $500 but I can't do it alone! And this is where I need your help. Whatever you can contribute, big or small, makes the difference for a child who may not be able to go to camp on their own. Even if you are unable to make a donation, if you can let others know about this great cause, would also make a great difference to the kids!
If you have any questions or would like to know more about Unicamp, please don't hesitate to message me/text me, etc. Also, keep in mind, donations are tax deductible. Lastly, I would also like to THANK YOU in advance for either reading this lengthy text and/or making a donation too! Thank you, again!!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
