A Message From Stephanie Ramirez Garcia
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a counselor in Unicamp this year. Unicamp is the the official student charity at UCLA. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp sends approximately 1,000 kids from lower-income families to camp in the summer. It is an amazing program that inspires these children to envision brighter futures.
I am proud to be part of the TYE, transitional youth empowerment, session which works with foster youth and provides mentorship, educational support, and empowerment. We do this by bonding with the children, giving them information about college, and letting them be kids by doing some fun activities.
Unicamp subsidize the cost of camp so that kids don't miss out on this opportunity because of a lack of funds. In order to be able to subsidize the price, each volunteer is asked to fundraise $450. It would mean the world to me if you can help me reach this fundraising goal! Every little bit helps and everything that you do donate will be tax deductible!
Thank you!
