A Message From Jackson Belway
Hey friends and family!
This year, my last year at UCLA, I joined UCLA UniCamp, a nonprofit philanthropy that allows children from underserved communities in and around Los Angeles to attend a summer camp where they will get opportunities to play and learn in a safe environment, opportunities that they may often not get back at home.
The session of camp that I am a part of is called “Health, Nutrition, and Fitness,” and is centered around teaching the campers how to properly exercise and get the nutrition that they need. As a lifelong health-conscious vegetarian, this is a cause that I strongly identify with.
Since many of these children come from underserved communities, it is often the case that their families cannot pay for them to attend summer camps. This is why I am fundraising on their behalf. My goal is to raise $450 by the end of the school year, and until them I will be doing everything I can to reach this goal. If any of you could help, even by donating a small amount, I would be incredibly grateful.
For this kids!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
