A Message From Maritza Lopez

Hi Everyone! My name is Maritza Lopez (a.k.a RITZ). I am excited to be part of UNICAMP Village Session 2019. I have decided to join UNICAMP to have fun, learn, and be an academic role model. This new amazing experience will help me be part of a child's life. I understand times are tough for some of us and any amount $$$, even change will help a child go camping and grow from this experience. I believe we can create an impact by being a part of child's life like as Maya Angelou said: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
