A Message From Caitlin Buckley

Hello! I am fundraising for UCLA Unicamp. Unicamp has been offering kids from underserved areas of Los Angeles a chance to spend a week exploring the outdoors and participating in traditional summer camp activities since 1928. I am volunteering as a counselor for the Health, Nutrition, and Fitness session this summer. In order to keep camp affordable for campers, counselors are tasked with raising at least $450. This program is near and dear to my heart because fitness and nutrition are a large part of my identity. I am fortunate enough to have two collegiate athletes as parents who, through team sports and my fair share of veggies, taught me the ins and out of maintaining and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. I now have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people by creating and solidifying a foundation of healthy habits that will follow them for the rest of their lives. UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
