A Message From Amanda Zapata

Hello friends and family! I am back again with my 2nd year in volunteering as a counselor!!! Thanks to my amazing friends and family I have previously raised over $1,060 for UniCamp. This organization has helped me grow over the years and get to where I am at today. I have learned from my campers, my counselors and my previous L-SHIPS. You may be asking yourself where will this money go? This would be my fundraising money to be able to go up to camp for a week and work with peers my age teaching them how to grow their leadership skills and better yet get them prepared for college! UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
