A Message From Jennifer Torres
Hello! I’m Jennifer Torres, I’m part of UNICAMP, an organization that is directly affiliated with UCLA. We work with kids from low income areas and take them camping for a week and I’m fundrasing to help cover the cost. My session Transitional Youth Empowerment focuses on providing foster children access to knowledge about college while still having a fun week camping. I personally was a camper from another session when I was younger and my counselors really stayed with me. The week was incredible and gave me acces to things I would have never done out of camp. Being able to return as a counselor and hopefully provide the same for other children means the world to me.

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
