A Message From Kayla Ghodsi
Hi friends and family!
This year I have the wonderful opportunity to do Unicamp again!
I am joining the Academicamp family in guiding campers through Social Emotional Learning! SEL is important in teaching children and adults to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, establish and maintain positive relationships, and many other valuable life skills!
Unicamp is an amazing student run organization at UCLA that brings under-served kids from the LA community up to camp for a week in the summer! Campers and counselors participate in fun camping activities that help them build a stronger appreciation for the outdoors, as well as activities that foster and build skills towards SEL!
The kids even get to be a part of this amazing program for free or reduced prices. This is possible because volunteers each have to raise money! My fundraising goal is $450! Please help me reach my goal so we can share this opportunity with as many kids as possible! Donations are tax deductible!
I continue to support Unicamp because you get to work with the best people for the best cause.
I appreciate any and every donation! Every little bit helps!
In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
