A Message From Crescendo Woodsey
My experience with UniCamp has been one of the best of my life. It has been a community that I have called home for the last three years, and has shown me lessons about life, love, and happiness. It has even taught me about myself.
In this space that we create for children we give them that opportunity to learn about themselves to be truly whoever they want to be, unrestricted by the bounds of their home lives and freed by the wide expanse of nature. With the camp songs echoing in the distance, river flowing through the camp site, and tall trees flanking every trail they look up and see that only the sky's the limit for their lives.
What’s so special about UniCamp is that we normalize higher education, by exposing campers to students from the best public university UCLA, this unattainable goal suddenly becomes normal. In that process they also get to create a connection with their peers, mentors, and the nature they rarely experience.
Our underserved campers come from South Central Los Angeles and to make sure as many kids can have this experience we fundraise so that they could come up for free. Help me give to the community that has given so much to me. Please consider donating, any amount is much appreciated, and it truly makes a difference!
SO MUCH WOODSEY LOVE,
