A Message From Shanda Nguyen
This year I am participating as a volunteer for Unicamp, the official student charity of UCLA. Over the course of summer, Unicamp sends over one thousand children who come from low-income families to camp for one week. This year, I will be participating the week that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, or S.T.E.A.M. (a.k.a. the Imagination Summit). At camp, we hope to introduce these youth to new scientific perspectives that will inspire them to pursue a career in these fields, while also providing them with a safe environment to do regular camp activities, such as sailing, fishing, etc.
To give these children this essential experience at camp, I will be needing your help! As a volunteer, I am setting my fundraising goal to be $650, and it would mean so much to the campers if you helped by donating any amount, large or small. I sincerely appreciate each of you for taking the time to read this, and hope that you all know that you are making an incredible difference to these children who we are all here to serve.
Now, let’s send some children to camp this summer!

In Support of UCLA UniCamp
UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
