A Message From Marilyn Hernandez

Hi Family and Friends! I am a volunteer of UNI Camp Outdoor Education session where we help show the true beauty of nature to inner city disadvantaged kids and teach them about the resources Earth provides. Having attended summer camp for free through the YMCA when I was younger has opened the door to a lot of experiences, resources, and friendships that are not readily available in underprivileged communities. I want to help those kids in similar circumstances have the same opportunities I had. I want to pay it forward by raising money for them to go to camp as someone else once did for me. With that being said, join me on the journey on granting a child’s wish this summer! Anything is highly appreciated it, THANK YOU!

UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
