Hi Everyone!
Last year was my first year doing Unicamp and it definitely has changed my life in such a rewarding way. Coming in, I did not know what these kids would be like. I worked with kids from underserved communities in Los Angeles. They have faced so many hardships in their lives at such a young age and it was so heartbreaking to hear. Even though these kids faced such hardships, they were so positive and brought so much joy and light into my week of camp and life in general. It inspired me to come back to Unicamp and become a part of LSHIP. I decided to take a bigger role this year because I wanted to be more involved with this great organization. This year my initiative will be on Health Nutrition and Fitness and I will be working closely with the Children Hospital of Los Angeles. My campers this year will be coming from CHLA, from the Diabetes and Obesity Program! As LSHIP, I will have the honor of training volunteers for my week of camp. I am definitely excited and very nervous but I know with the support and love that I have from my friends and family that it will be an amazing week of camp. With that said, I need to fundraise $550 to send one kid to camp! I hope that you can give these kids a small chance of being in camp! Please help me fundraise, every penny counts and if you are unable to donate, please help me spread the word around!
