A Message From Sydney Tang

Welcome to my fundraising page! This year I joined UCLA UniCamp, a non-profit summer program with a mission that is very dear to me. I hope to reach my goal of raising $500 for this organization, and I would appreciate all the support I can get. Throughout high school, I worked as a camp counselor for my town’s summer camps, and it was one of the best and most rewarding decisions I have ever made. I found so much happiness through interacting with the kids, teaching them new skills, and seeing them grow. UniCamp is a unique opportunity for me to continue to do what I love. The money we raise will help send under-served youth of Los Angeles to camp this summer, where they will have a chance to get away from the city and experience nature, build relationships, and receive support and guidance to work toward a bright future. UCLA UniCamp is the official student charity of the University of California, Los Angeles. UniCamp operates as an independently funded non-profit organization linking the University with the community. Each year, UniCamp inspires nearly 1,000 children from underserved families to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 400 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp.
